Our friends, the Tolman's, had some families over for Family Home Evening to make gingerbread houses. It was a lot of fun! We all got covered with frosting, and the candy wasn't bad either.
Avery had her Christmas music performance last week. She was pretty excited to have it video recorded so she could show grandma's when we visit. For the Christmas program they sang about 7 songs. They sounded really good. Avery really enjoys singing.
Well, it is the moment you have all been waiting for the red fridge! Brooke has been working very hard on this. I know the anticipation is killing you, but you finally get to see what it looks like.
The youngmen's leaders in our ward have started a tradition of playing football on Thanksgiving morning. So this year was no different. We spent the cold, windy morning playing football.
For Thanksgiving dinner we went to our friends the Tolman's. His sister was down from Washington and we had the Elder's over. It was fun to be together with friends, but missed our families. Here are some pictures.
Liam is quite the guy. Check out this picture. He is always laughing and having fun. Last night he wasn't feeling very well and decided to throw up all over a couple of times. He still isn't feeling well, but is feeling better. Poor guy went to bed early.
Brooke is working hard to make a table for Liam to play with his trains on. It has been in our garage for years and I am glad to see something is finally getting done with it.
Here are some misc. pictures. First, Brooke was watching some friends kids and took a cute picture of Liam and Whitney.
Second, a picture of Avery and I on my schools rock wall.
Third, when Brooke was sewing Avery's costume she had her stuff on the table. Liam took all her thread and put it in the candle jar. It was pretty funny!
After being obsessed with Wicked for a few months Avery decided that she was going to be a witch for Halloween. Brooke took on the undertaking of sewing the dress. It turned out really nice. Brooke bought a pattern for Liam's Dalmation puppy costume, but it turned out to be the wrong size. Luckily, she borrowed one from a friend. Brooke's costume was pretty cool, she was Cruella Devil. She and Liam were quite the pair.
Our family went to the church for a trunk or treat, then went with some friends around the neighborhood.
Avery has been quite the little designer lately. She likes to dress her dog, Coconut. She will cut out fabric and make clothes for her. She and Brooke decided to dress Coconut in some of her outfits and take pictures.
Here are some pictures of the backyard. I don't know if you can see it, but the home behind us painted their house. We really love the color (sense my sarcasm). It is cream, with blue trim. It looks like someone taped the trim with blue painters tape and didn't pull it off. But our yard is coming nicely.
Our family decided to look for the Great Pumpkin before Halloween. There is a pumpkin farm out in the country by our home. You can go out there and pick your own pumpkin, ride a horse and wagon, and feed the animals. Liam and Avery had a blast! Avery brought her friend Emily along.
We have been working really hard on the playhouse. Brooke made some curtains for the cupboards and I put in the sink. A friend from work had an old sink and gave it to me. Liam likes to play with it. We aren't getting much playing time in it lately because of the rain. Avery likes to sweep it up and keep it clean. She could spend hours out their in it.
