Grandma & Grandpa Visit

My dad and I got to do lots of riding while he was here. We both agree it is one of the prettiest places to ride.
This is me doing an uphill TT and you can tell I was feeling th burn.
Cleaning bikes.
It wouldn't be Oregon without ducks!
This is at Alton Baker Park.
Avery and Liam at Spencer's Butte Park.

Only in Eugene do you find a whale that is hand painted.

It was very nice to have my parents come and visit for a week. We got to do a lot of fun things with them. My dad and I got to go to the NCAA western divisional track meet. We spent all day Friday and Saturday watching some great athletes, including many from Weber State. Brooke got to see her old coaches and talk with them. Grandma got to take the kids to the park and Avery to the pottery store (her favorite thing to do when Grandma visits).

Grandpa's 57 B-day

While my parents were visiting my dad had his 57th birthday. It was nice to be able to celebrate that with them. We miss out on those things being away.

Avery's track meet

Of course we had to throw one in of Liam!

Avery joined her school track club (not to suprised by that one) and is following in her mother's footsteps. She even got to do the high jump. She commented that some of them were not doing it correctly. Here are some pictures from her meet.

Funny Pictures

These are some funny pictures we took this month. Liam likes dad's glasses because they are "lello!" Also, I came home from work the other day and Liam had on one of Avery's old dresses. He liked to twirl it around and wouldn't take it off. Avery was just being funny and taking pictures of herself - she is pretty cute though.

Easter

We had a very nice Easter here. Liam decided that he was going to wake up early to celebrate the day. Around 6:00 am Brooke and I hear Liam yelling, "I ready! Easter eggs. I ready." Cute, but early. It was nice to be home with no meeting and remember the Savior.

Similarities?

I find these two very similar in appearance.

Unusual Growth

Check out this unusual growth in the PE office bathroom. It is crazy where things will turn up. It was short lived, lasting only a few days before it died.

At the Park

It has been a while since I have updated the blog, so here are a bunch of updates. These are the kids enjoying the park on a nice day in Eugene.

Secretary Desk

Mom here is Brooke's secretary desk. There is a picture of what is looked like before and after.

Misc. Pic's

Brooke had the chance to go to Portland with the girls to visit a scrapbook convention. They worked on scrapbooking all night. Also, Liam is quite the piano player. He likes to sit with mom and Avery and pretend to play.

Liam is quite the cute kid. He still sucks his fingers and pulls his ear with his other hand.

Avery and mom were doing some posing with the camera. Aren't they pretty cute!

Our family got invited to a disco birthday party. Liam got a smooth green "Maya hat." I got to wear some of Brooke's pants and boy were they tight.

This is Liam making cookies with his dad.

The Coast

Avery started to feel better on Thursday, so we went on a small trip to the coast in Newport. We got to walk on the beach, go to the acquarium, and visit the outlet stores. We barely escaped it in good health. On the way home Liam started throwing up, or as Liam would say, "cough in mouth, wet." Fortunately, we were able to have a good trip none the less.

Liam 2nd Birthday

Liam celebrated his 2nd birthday on March 28. Avery had been feeling sick all week (spring break). So our little family had a small birthday party for Liam. He was pretty excited about his train birthday cake. For his birthday he got some rain boots, clothes, and a lawn mower that blows bubbles (Liam likes to mow the lawn with dad in the backpack). Notice Avery is still in her pj's, but feeling better. Liam is definitely a Cottle - check out the train hat - it's a little to small for his big melon!
